I don't claim to be any sort of a fashion know-how and must profess that for a little while, I was anti-boot. But, if you're like me (any of the following: have been wearing the same red payless sneakers for the past 3+ years, don't like re-tying shoelaces, tend to get cold feet [literally]), you will quickly find that boots may just be among your favorite footwear.
First off, you must have boots.
Next, explore your options.
With a shorter skirt.
Add some tights in for some flair.
Sport them with a long skirt/dress.
Mix and match with your favorite tops. Longer shirts and cardigans work well with the boot look to give it a more down-to-earth feel. Target has some great layering basics right now.
Or, if you're feeling bold, pair it with the belt look
(see Lindsey's prior post if the idea of a belt scares you).

What the??? You look amazing and trendy and earthy and cool all at the same time. Man the tables have really turned. Now I have a monday-friday outfit (t-shirt and stretch pants anyone?), refuse to use hairspray, swear I'll never wear jeans and take fashion advice from cath. For real-- super cute.
ReplyDeleteCatherine, those boots are absolutely adorable! I want a pair! or is 60 too old for boots? Can I justify them if it's not cold and there isn't any snow?
ReplyDeleteThey look really cute with every single outfit! All I can say is, I want to take Hunter shopping with me!
jealousssssss please bring your entire wardrobe to NC in a few weeks. kthanks
ReplyDeleteCan I just say that I thought these were all MODEL PICTURES!!! No kidding. I looked at this post TWICE and then realized, "Wait, this is Cath. This is Cath's wardrobe. Those are CATH's BOOTS!" Jealousy sunk in, only to be quickly replaced by PRIDE that I have such a beautiful and fashionable sister. Lessons, please!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish we were still roommates and could still share clothes. Super cute! And I see that you got that sweater from Target, yes!
ReplyDeleteSarah - you make me laugh!
ReplyDeleteDee - yeah, I totally copied your sweater!
