A few of my favorite things: ANGELA

Fiestaware dinnerware. I LOVE the bright colors, the solid made in the USA construction, that it hasn't chipped at all and that it looks great during the holidays. I have three colors of dinner plates, salad plates and bowls.
I still really really really love animals. I get excited when I see them. I love to pet the neighbor's dog, listen to his chickens every morning, look at goats and dream of owning my own farm. It's a childhood dream that's never died and I think I've passed it on to Liesel.

A Swatch. Everyone knows the swiss for their chocolate, their alps and their watches. I especially love this company because they are constantly changing their designs- they will make a few a year and then never repeat them. I especially love the "skin" line-- light, thin and uber-chic.

If you look through my wardrobe, 70% of it is warm colors(browns, reds, oranges, yellows, pinks). I am not really a cool colors girl. Maybe that's why I love the desert? Red and Burnt Orange are probably my favorites.

Painting. I went to an art class this summer in the Jackson Wy and they introduced me to the vibrantly colored Dr. PH Martin's concentrated watercolor drops and I've been dreaming of them ever since.

I've had several of you ask about making collages for blogs or photo editing. You just download Picassa 3; a Google photo editing free software program by clicking here: http://picasa.google.com/ -- It has slowly become one of my favorite things-- and I occasionally upload a photo to Picnic (in Picassa 3) for even more knock-your-socks-off fun.

Lately I can't get enough of this soup. I just use the recipe in my head, but I'm sure this one is good too. I love the fall/southwest flavor and I especially loved it this week with cake disguised as cornbread.

my MEK jeans. I found them at PLato's closet (a consignment shop in Provo) for $40. They are my first pair of designer jeans and I cannot believe the difference. I look good wearing them, they don't loose their shape and they go with anything (and make a t-shirt look good). The only problem is now I don't want to wear anything else.

Brian and I's go-to quickie gift. An I'm sorry boquet of flowers + bolthouse = instant forgiveness. Stocking stuffer? Birthday treat? Post-long-day-out-climbing? The Bolthouse drink is the answer to all of these. Our favorite flavors are Very Berry, Strawberry Banana, Mango-orange (steer clear of the green goodness-- it has green tea in it).

I love the tu-tu effect of peonies. They look like wadded up tissue paper or gobs of tule and they are beautiful! If I could have used them for my wedding bouquet I would have. They are such beautiful flowers.

  5. Whoa, peonies are my favorite flowers, too! I planted two big bushes in Virginia, but we moved before they grew and blossomed. I love your fiestaware, too! I didn't know you took an art class. One of my favorite things about you is your art talent and another one that I have recently discovered about you is that you are a GREAT WRITER! You have such a way with words. You can cut to the chase and elicit a laugh as well as pontificate to the point of tears. LOVE YOU for all you are!
